The York Olive Oil Company will be there with our unique chocolate truffles, the original York truffle made with 70% dark chocolate and flavoured with Cointreau. Also on sale will be our heavenly chocolates, handmade in York with Belgian chocolate in almond, hazelnut and pistachio varieties.

Every year we make more truffles and chocolates for the Festival and every year we sell out, so visit us early if you don’t want to miss out!

Mundaring Truffle Festival, 30-31 July 2011

The fifth annual Mundaring Truffle Festival will be happening over the weekend of 30 & 31 July 2011, at the Sculpture Park in Mundaring and the York Olive Oil Company will be there.

One of the pleasures of a brisk winter in Western Australia is that we can now savour fresh French black truffle straight from the earth to our restaurants and dinner table within hours. This is a rare privilege as so few countries can successfully grow the culinary delicacy.

Truffle is being happily farmed in the pristine earth and water of the South West, however it is celebrated in style at the annual Mundaring Truffle Festival. The village precinct of Mundaring nestled in the Perth hills is the ideal setting and is only 45 minutes from Perth.

Since it began five years ago, the Festival has grown in prestige with the support of many renowned chefs, the food and wine industry (including the York Olive Oil Co) and media and government sponsorship. Add to this, superb regional produce and an eclectic programme of events and dining experiences for all the family.

The Festival has claimed its place on the global culinary calendar, last year attracting over 21,000 visitors from around Australia and the world.

You are invited to come and share the passion for truffle and have a memorable experience with the help of a host of local, national and international food celebrities and up-and-coming chefs who will delight your palate…. notably Alain Fabreques, Emmanuel Mollois, Stephanie Alexander, Philippe Mouchel and Malaysia’s Food Ambassador Chef Wan.
